4Sight includes the latest driver to link the DPI 611, DPI 620 Series (including Genii and IS versions) and the PACE series to this scalable on premise or cloud based calibration management solution. The driver provides download/upload communications for the field calibrators and real time connection for workshop calibrators and multiple instrument calibration systems, for example, PACE controllers used in conjunction with the DPI 620 Genii.

Additions for Release 6.2.5.0

Data Import for Loops Loops and their associated Components can now also be imported using the Data Import screen in 4Sight. The Import Template has been updated to include an additional sheet

Issue In Bulk Notification When a list of Routines are selected from the Issue in Bulk page and the user clicks the Issue button, a popup will appear notifying the user that there will be selected number of Work Orders issued for the selected number of Routines. The user will be given the option to select Yes or No. When selecting Yes the system will proceed with issuing the selected Routines. When selecting No the system will not proceed and no Routines will be issued.

Routine Graph Information When the Work History Graph is viewed from the Routine Graph page, the Instrument Tag name and the Routine name are now displayed at the top of the graph.

Audit Trail New Data Updates Currently, when creating a new table record, the table fields whose value on creation does not differ from the default value for that field does not get recorded in the Audit Trail Details Table. The table fields whose value on creation differ from the default for that field do get recorded in the Audit Trail Details Table.

The Audit Trail Details table have been updated so that when a new record is created then the full list of fields relating to the new record will be recorded in the Audit Trail Details Table, regardless of whether their value has been modified from the default or not.

For example, when creating a Routine, the Input From value is defaulted to 0.0 on Routine creation. If the user assigns a value of 100 to the Input To option, without modifying the 0 value of the Input From option, when saving the routine with the Input Range 0 to 100, only the Input To value is logged in the Audit Trail Details. However, with these new Audit Trail updates the value of Input From as 0 will also be recorded, even if it is the same as the default value.

There have been no changes in the Audit Trail User Interface and there have been no changes to the Audit Trail main functionality. Also, there have been no changes to the Audit Trail Details table when editing a record.

Master Calibration List Excel Report The “Export to Excel” table button in the Instrument and Loop list pages have been updated to export the “Master Calibration List” to Excel. This report contains the following information for each Instrument or Loop:

KPI Filtering

The KPIs reports have been updated to provide the ability to filter the results by Class, Area and Plant. The KPI reports that have been updated are the following:

  • Work Orders Due
  • References Used
  • Work Order Stock versus Time Cost

Total Number of Records in Reports

The Reports in the Reports section of 4Sight have been updated to include the Total Number of records present in the generated reports.

The Reports that have been updated to display this additional information are the following:

  • Listings
  • References Used
  • Deviation Listings
  • Failed Tasks
  • Work Orders Done
  • Down Time
  • Due Date
  • Estimated vs Actual
  • History By Due Date
  • Labour and Stock Costings

Note: Any Reports not included in the above list either already display a total of the records in the report or is not applicable for displaying total number of records.

Additions for Previous Release 6.2.4.1

Company Name Editing

When an Instrument is in Edit Mode, a user is now able to edit the Company provided that the Company does not have any Routines in cycle.  Historical Work Order data is not changed when the Company or Department is changed for an Instrument.

References Filtering

When the “Filter by Company Department” configuration option is ON and the user has the “Use Filtering” option selected, then when issuing/entering a Work Order, the References list will display only those Reference Instruments available to the Company/Departments that the user is assigned to. Otherwise, all the reference instruments appear in the available list.

When the references are filtered then a “Show All” option is made available which allows a user to override the filtering and display all references for all companies and departments.

When the “Show All” option is checked or unchecked, the “Selected” list will remain the same and the “Available” list will be updated with the relevant References.

If a Selected Reference is de-selected it will be moved to the “Available” List regardless of the Show All option at the time of the de-selection. This will allow the user to re-select the Reference in the case where the reference was de-selected in error.

ERP Integration

The Work Order Configuration has been updated to include ERP System, ERP Authentication credentials and default Maintenance Cert Type for the ERP System. This allows for integrations with ERP systems.

Failed By User Deviation Message

When a Critical Routine is failed by a user using the “Failed By User” options, a deviation is created. Previously the deviation message would read “Calibration failed by user.” This message has been updated to instead read “Work Order failed by user” in order to make it more generic and allowing it to be applicable to non-calibration Work Orders.

Resolution “0”

4Sight has been updated to allow for a resolution of “0” for the Routine Type, Routine values tab and the Work Order Edit values tab. The accepted Resolution Range is not 0 to 5 instead of 1 to 5.

Crystal Reports Module

4Sight has been updated to allow for the inclusion of Crystal Reports based Certificates and Reports.

Cancelled/Rejected Status

When a Work Order is Cancelled or Rejected, a status message now appears on the applicable Work Order Certificate in Bold Red. For Cancelled Work Orders this message will read ‘Cancelled’ and for Rejected Work Orders this message will read ‘Rejected’.

The affected certificates are as follows:

  GE Predictivity™ Solutions Join ecomagination Portfolio It has been three years since Marc Andreessen, co-founder of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, wrote his influential essay, Why Software Is Eating the World. Since that time, the impact of software in industrial applications has grown substantially. GE’s Industrial Internet is playing an important role in advancing the use of software in this arena. However, in addition to eating the world, it has now become clear that software can play an important role in helping to save the world from growing resource scarcity. The fact is, a great global resource challenge is now upon us. The demand for natural resources is outstripping available supplies in many regions around the world. Regional resource imbalances are occurring for energy, water, food, and materials. These imbalances are driving up commodity prices and creating resource stresses that have social, political, and economic implications. This challenge is poised to become even greater in the years ahead.
